About Me
  • After completing my Bachelor's in Human Development, my initial career goal was to work in education. However, I ended up taking a different path. A decade later, I decided to follow my earlier passions and returned to school to pursue a graduate-level certificate in Learner-centered Instructional Design from CU Denver. During the program, I gained a deeper understanding of educational theory, pedagogy, design thinking, and best practices in the field. I discovered that my strengths in research, psychology, creativity, curiosity, ideation, and love of learning are ideally suited for a career in learning design!

  • I bring a human-centered approach that recognizes the inherent worth, value, and dignity within everyone. My experience in customer service and administrative roles has taught me to manage projects while attending to client needs with empathy, kindness, care, and attention. Trained in qualitative research and social science methodology, I am observant and attentively listen to others and the surrounding environment to assess gaps and gain insight into what would support and enhance knowledge, skills, motivation, morale, and other objectives. I love to boost creativity through design thinking and seek to maintain a growth mindset in my daily work and throughout my life.

  • I'm finishing a Master's in Learning Design and Technology at CU Denver and expect to graduate in 2025.

This semester, Iā€™m sharpening my skills in project management for learning design, an essential component of managing personal projects and more extensive organizational L&D initiatives.

I also enjoy experimenting with new technologies and staying up-to-date with the latest trends. Recently, I've been practicing my development skills in Articulate Storyline and Rise while also exploring Figma and other design tools.

  • I love outdoor recreational activities such as hiking, camping, paddleboarding, tennis, and disc golf. I also enjoy making jewelry, painting, journaling, and baking. As a two-time childhood cancer survivor, I will always strive toward higher levels of health and wellness, which has led me to explore spirituality, mindfulness, integrative medicine, and somatic awareness as a way to embody more wholeness in mind, body, and spirit.
